Jun Oh, DDS

How did you become a dentist?

Dr. Oh is originally from Seoul, South Korea. He came to the United States as an international student, majoring in biomedical engineering. However, he eventually realized that dentistry was a better, more practical fit for him. Today, he’s still very happy with his decision and is proud to run a practice that is focused on treating the whole family.

Where did you study dentistry?

Dr. Oh earned his Master’s degree in biology from the University of Southern California before pursuing his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. He has also undergone advanced training in a number of advanced services, including dental implants, oral sedation, and nitrous oxide. He is currently a member of the following organizations:

• American Dental Association
• Academy of General Dentistry
• Dallas Asian Dental Association

What is your life like outside of Beverly Dental Center?

Dr. Oh ended up moving from Detroit to Texas in 2011 because he couldn’t stand the cold. He likes the Texas heat much better! Today, he and his wife have two young sons, and he always enjoys spending time with his fun and loving family. Other hobbies include golfing, snowboarding, playing table tennis and regular tennis, and simply making people happy, which is his favorite part of being a dentist.
